Case Studies of Ethics Scandals: Effects on Ethical Perceptions of Finance Students

Ethics instructors often use cases to help students understand ethics within a corporate context, but we need to know more about the impact a case-based pedagogy has on students’ ability to make ethical decisions. We used a pre- and post-test methodology to assess the effect of using cases to teach ethics in a finance course. We also wanted to determine whether recent corporate ethics scandals might have impacted students’ perceptions of the importance and prevalence of ethics in business, so we used in-depth case studies of several of the major scandals (e.g., Enron, Tyco, Adelphia). Our results are somewhat surprising since studying ethics scandals positively impacts students’ ethical decision making and their perceptions of the ethics of businesspeople.

论转轨时期中国政府规制体制改革及政策选择

政府规制是市场经济中市场失灵条件下,国家为实现某种公共政策目标,对微观经济主体的经济活动进行规范与制约,干预经济政策的一种重要制度安排。转轨时期的中国,在政府规制方面还存在诸多的问题:规制法规建设滞后、缺乏统一、权威、独立行使规制职能的规制机构、政府规制过程中行为主体不成熟及其相互关系定位偏差、规制方式存在缺陷,不适应市场经济的发展。因此,结合中国的实际借鉴西方国家的政府规制的经验,对推动我国政府规制改革有着重要的意义。     

行业协会组织边界与组织能力模型的构建研究——基于价值网络的分析

本文通过借鉴企业研究领域中组织边界理论,将行业协会组织边界分为实体、行业和关系边界三类,并从价值网络的角度分析了三类组织边界形成机理,在此基础上进行行业协会组织能力模块化,构建行业协会组织能力的S-O-R模型。     

政府参与农民合作经济组织发展的职能演变

农民合作经济组织与政府之间的关系对合作组织的发展有着至关重要的影响。政府参与是我国农民合作经济组织发展的必要条件,政府应依照农民合作经济组织发展的初期、成长期、成熟期三个阶段的特性来对自己的职能进行动态定位,以哺育、扶持、守夜人身份执行政府职能。     

产业组织结构对跨国公司市场进入方式的影响

跨国公司进入国外市场的方式是多个层面多种因素综合作用的结果。产业组织理论认为产业组织结构影响企业行为，因而产业组织结构也影响跨国公司的市场进入方式。本文结合中国几个产业的实际情况，重点探讨了促进跨国公司采用跨国并购方式进入国内市场的产业条件。认为，促进跨国并购的产业组织结构特征包括，市场集中度高，市场地域分割，国内外产业发展不平衡，国内外市场分割，国内市场容量大，成长率高等。     

论非政府组织与社会弱势群体

本文认为,大规模的弱势群体已经影响到我国社会经济生活的方方面面,必须采取积极措施,动员各种社会力量加大对弱势群体的救助,特别是要发挥非政府组织的基本职能,协助政府解决弱势群体问题.第一,加大对非政府组织的资金支持.由政府确定每年从政府预算、财政专项基金或福彩资金中拿出一部分,作为非政府组织服务弱势群体的专项资金.第二,出台非政府组织捐赠免税政策.第三,成立相应机构,协调非政府组织的各种资源,规范管理,加强和完善民间组织的职能.第四,放宽非政府组织登记制度,使有心致力于爱心公益事业者有一个好的平台,规范捐赠行为,使民间善款真正用于服务对象.第五,加强国内外非政府组织的合作与交流,加大媒体对非政府组织帮助弱势群体、解决社会问题的宣传力度,扩大其在全国的影响力.     

The impact of mentoring quality on protégés' organization‐based self‐esteem and proactive behavior: The moderating role of traditionality

Based on self‐consistency theory, this study examined the relationship between mentoring quality as perceived by protégés and protégés' proactive behavior. It focused on the mediating role of organization‐based self‐esteem (OBSE) and the moderating role of traditionality. To examine these relationships, we administrated three‐wave surveys to 237 subordinate–supervisor dyads in a construction enterprise. The results of hierarchical linear modeling demonstrated that (a) mentoring quality and proactive behavior had a positive relationship; (b) OBSE mediated this relationship; and (c) traditionality strengthened both the relationship between mentoring quality and OBSE and the indirect effect of mentoring quality on proactive behavior via OBSE. Our findings have theoretical and practical implications for research on mentoring and proactive behavior.     

Gaps in tourism education and workforce needs: attracting and educating the right people

The intense development of the tourism industry requires a skilled and qualified workforce. It is important to attract the right candidates to the tourism education, and subsequently provide relevant education to prepare students for the industry after graduation. While work placements may be useful and important to some extent, they are not the ideal solution. Hence, alternative approaches such as simulations and flipped classrooms may be applied. To provide realistic expectations, a closer collaboration between industry operators and education providers is needed. Education providers should assume a more proactive role by inviting tourism operators and integrated them in the tourism education programmes as guest lecturers.     

项目教学法在《酒水调制与服务》课程中的运用与反思

《酒水调制与服务》课程实施项目教学法，能使学生既学习到实践技能和操作规范，又能在这一过程中理解与提升理论知识。教学中应该注重转变教师角色，突出学生主体性，注重情境的创设，组建有效的合作型学习小组，建立新型师生关系，并重视项目展示与评价，使学生获得学习的满足感和成就感，从而激发学生再学习的动力。同时，还应该重视提高教师的教育教学水平及实践能力，提高硬件建设水平。
